Who handles your data
The company that publishes natalcharts.com handles this data. Its name and postal address are on Terms. Write to hello@natalcharts.com — see Contact.
What we process
- Birth date, optional birth time, and birthplace coordinates posted so a chart can be computed. Birth data is not placed in URLs, query strings, or analytics.
- Place-search text posted to look up a town.
- If you sign in: account data, and optional saved-chart tokens in that account.
- If you email a PDF: Brevo receives only your email address and a signed link. It does not receive birth data or the PDF file.
- If you ask for the sky letter: Brevo receives your email and sends a confirmation link. You are not added to the list until you confirm.
- If you use the contact form: Brevo sends the message as a transactional email to hello@natalcharts.com. The reply address is the address you typed.
- Optional sex for a Core report stays with that report in the account. Brevo, Langfuse, and PostHog are left without that field.
- Device location is not requested.
Cookies and tracking
The public calculator asks before any analytics cookies. Signed-in features may set session cookies. There is no advertising.
A browser privacy signal (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control) keeps analytics off. You can change a stored choice from Cookie settings in the footer.
Processors
| Processor | Role |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | DNS, TLS, Workers, static assets |
| Chart calculator host | Calculates positions. The calculator key stays on the Worker. |
| Clerk | Authentication for optional save and email-PDF tools |
| Brevo | Sky letter (email and confirm link), contact form, and signed PDF links |
| PostHog (EU) | Product analytics after you accept cookies. Page path, referrer, and browser language. Session replay stays off unless a project flag turns it on, and then form text is masked. Birth data, emails, names, sex, and chart contents are stripped before send. |
The publisher listed on Terms remains responsible for this data.
PostHog — legal review
This section awaits legal review before go-live. Processor: PostHog (European Union). The publisher listed on Terms is responsible. Contact: hello@natalcharts.com.
Purpose: understand which pages help people find and finish a birth chart. Legal basis: consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy rules that apply in Sweden). Retention: the period set on the PostHog EU project; confirm that period during legal review.
Retention
Charts are not stored unless you sign in and choose Save. Email links expire. Sky-letter contacts stay on the Brevo list until you unsubscribe or ask to be erased.
